Happy Halloween!

We originally bought four pumpkins to carve, but we were overwhelmed with carving two and trying to manage the boys with sharp objects simultaneously. Two pumpkins were all we were able to manage. The low point of the evening was when Layne threw his arms around Daddy in an enthusiastic hug while holding the carving knife. It now looks like Ben got in a fight with a cat. I guess it is the memories that count!

Devin chose his pumpkin. It is the one with the four monsters. I did a lot of the work, but Devin has developed some pretty amazing eye-hand coordination lately and he did quite a bit as well. Layne couldn't decide which design he wanted for his pumpkin. He kept pointing to all of the pictures saying that he wanted to carve all of them, so we chose one for him. After he nearly slit Ben's throat, we banned him from the knives and Ben carved his pumpkin for him.

We are planning to take the kids to a few houses this evening for Trick-or-Treat. I will get some pictures of them and post them when I get them. Happy Halloween!
