Poor Little Devin came down with the flu on Thursday, so he missed his first school Christmas party. He was pretty sad about that, but he is getting better. I was able to make it to Layne's Christmas party, and it was a lot of fun.
Miss Paula and Miss Renee are his teachers. They are both great with Layne. Layne is always talking about "Miss Pau-wa." He loves school and can't wait to go every day. I am so grateful for good teachers!
Here is Layne with Miss Paula.

Here is Layne and Miss Renee

At the party, Layne decorated a ginger-bread man. He was so proud of it!

Here he is sitting on his symbol. His symbol is a little red car. He sits on it when it is story/whole group time, and he also has a symbol on the behavior chart. If he is naughty, he has to move his symbol to blue, then to yellow, and finally to red.

This is a picture of his symbol.
It was such a fun party. He and his class performed a few Christmas songs and then read a book called, Counting Christmas. Layne had the line, "Eight Gingerbread Cookies for Santa." He did such a great job! It has been so fun to be a part of Layne's school experience.
